Description

Men's Watch: 19Thirty Polished Stainless Steel with meteorite dial (blue)

The 19Thirty is BOVET 1822's entry-level timepiece, inspired by a BOVET timepiece from 1930. This timepiece is powered by a manufacture movement with an in-house hairspring and regulating organ, finished by hand to the level of BOVET’s high complications.

This version features a 42mm in diameter x 9mm thin polished stainless-steel case and a blued-meteorite dial sliced from the Gibeon meteorite.

This meteorite is more than 4 billion years old and was found in present-day Nambia. The dial is a slice of this Iron Meteorite and is etched in a nitric acid solution to reveal the distinctive Widmanstätten Pattern.

The finely hand-finished mechanical movement is revealed through an exhibition back and offers seven days of power reserve from a single barrel. Nearly every component (95%) is made in the BOVET 1822 manufacture in Tramelan, Swizerland, including the hairspring.

Elegant and perfect for an everyday timepiece, the 19Thirty with Blue Meteorite is a modern interpretation of a classic design.

Supplied by the brand to the GPHG for its entry.
