Description

The idea for Stroopwafel® was born in October 2024, when a box of Dutch stroopwafels found its way to a watch fair in the United States. Almost everyone recognised them, whether from travel, childhood memories, or simply from that unmistakable first bite. In that moment, a thought emerged: what if a humble Dutch icon could be transformed into a watch dial?

Developed in collaboration with Swiss high-end dial atelier GT Cadrans, the dial features a distinctive waffle texture finished in a golden caramel tone. A precious-metal galvanic treatment and finely textured surface interact with light in subtle ways, evoking the appearance of the Dutch delicacy that inspired it. Combined with a chronometer-certified Small Seconds movement, Stroopwafel® unites Dutch heritage and Swiss watchmaking craftsmanship in a unique and unexpected manner.

The dial was intentionally kept visually restrained. Apart from the LEBOIS signature, no additional text interrupts the design, allowing the texture and craftsmanship of the dial to take centre stage.

Supplied by the brand to the GPHG for its entry.
