Description
Some shades of brown seek no comparison. This one possesses the density of tree bark and the depth of aged wood.
Drawn from the Le Temps en Équilibre – Time in Balance – collection, the AK-10 Brun Écorce with honeycomb dial explores a more grounded aesthetic, far removed from the brilliance of the sky-inspired creations that define other expressions of the Maison. It is a study in materiality, texture and restrained elegance.
Suspended within the Maison’s patented dual-disc architecture, the upper disc features the honeycomb motif that has become an AKHOR signature. Beneath it, the lower disc is finished with a sunburst decoration in the same rich brown tone, creating a subtle dialogue between structure and light. Each cell of the honeycomb catches reflections differently according to the viewing angle, lending the colour a shifting depth and an almost organic vitality.
The 39 mm cushion-shaped case in 4N/5N gold and the hand-stitched brown alligator strap with square scales extend this understated character. Nothing has been added for effect. Instead, every element reflects AKHOR’s vision of demanding Swiss watchmaking: precise, purposeful and free from ostentation.
At its heart beats the AK10 calibre, the Maison’s hand-wound manufacture movement. Operating at a frequency of 4 Hz and delivering a 60-hour power reserve, it provides the mechanical foundation for a watch whose refinement lies as much in what it chooses not to express as in what it reveals.
Supplied by the brand to the GPHG for its entry.
