Description

ELEGANCE TOURBILLON\tESQUIRE\tMASCULINE TIME, AN ODE TO TRANSPARENCY\tWith the ELEGANCE TOURBILLON, CENTURY bestows the beauty of contemporary poetry on a legendary complication.\tA new combination to honour transparency and the mystery of time: the first encounter between the tourbillon, the king of fine watch complications, and CENTURY sapphire. A luminous, beautiful and technical alliance created for connoisseurs of exceptional timepieces.\tConceived during the Enlightenment to counter the effect of gravity on the\xa0\xa0 regulating mechanism, the tourbillon remains one of the most advanced complications in fine watchmaking. Now, CENTURY pays tribute to the tourbillon in its ESQUIRE collection, with the ELEGANCE line. Dedicated to its most refined timepieces for men, this line is recognisable by its sleek style and discreet luxury.\tELEGANCE TOURBILLON combines the mystery of the tourbillon with the beauty of CENTURY sapphire, a unique, scratch-resistant, everlasting material born from the exclusive skills of the Manufacture\u2019s master craftsmen. With a COSC-certified manual winding mechanical movement, water-resistant to 100 metres and featuring a power reserve of more than 120 hours, this platinum edition radiates pure light and transparency. Suspended within the 44mm case, the movement has a hypnotic, magical quality. The floating effect amplifies every oscillation of the balance wheel, every rotation of the tourbillon. In its dazzling robe of CENTURY sapphire, with 48 facets cut and polished by hand, the ELEGANCE TOURBILLON performs a stunning choreography that sees wheels, balance and tourbillon dance to the beat of an endlessly renewed pleasure.\tEvery last detail has been designed to captivate the eye, such as the tourbillon cage bridge which crosses the CENTURY sapphire dial, and the central bridge, positioned at a right-angle, which bears the Manufacture logo. The beautifully balanced composition is underscored by the deliberately large stylised hour-markers, and the streamlined form of the openwork hands, as well as the interplay of colours: the palladium of the CENTURY sapphire, the bluish tinge of the steel screws, the matt ruthenium-plated sandblasted mainplate, the precious sparkle of the alligator strap. These perfectly toning shades combine smooth surfaces and elegant design, completely reinventing the experience of time. \xa0\t\xa0
