Ecritures de Chaumet In its new collection, Ecritures de Chaumet, the Maison pays homage to painting. Chaumet has always had a special bond with art since its creation. Capturing the essence of works of art by the greatest masters, this limited-edition collection reinterprets the great paintings of the nineteenth century. Chaumet instils its emotion and its own point of view in these pieces, through innovation and uniqueness. Far from reproducing them, the Maison chose to capture the painters brush strokes: their gestures, their ways of painting. This watch Ecritures de Chaumet, inspired by Renoirs painting Woman with a Parasol in a Garden, takes us straight to the heart of the art piece. The volumes and texture of the artists brush stroke are transposed on a real canvas, using oil miniature painting. Then, applied gold leaves create a play of light and contrasts. Beating at the rhythm of a Swiss self-winding mechanical movement, this five-piece limited edition Ecritures de Chaumet timekeeper is housed in a precious pink gold new case. Adorned with brilliant-cut diamonds, its feminine and tense curves, subtle crown and hinges leave room for the dial. This timepiece writes a new horological page of the Maison: an ode to light and to the arts.
