Description

Part of the long-lasting tradition of sentimental jewels perpetuated by Chaumet since 1780, the Liens watch embodies the strong symbolism of attachment by expressing love, family and friendship bonds. This symbolic tie becomes both real and functional by creating a bridge between the case and the bracelet. Around a classical round case, the "lien" motif in its continuous movement draws its cross-over signature on the profile at 3 and 9 o\u2019clock, and creates two handles to hold the slender bracelet, giving birth to the wrist-watch. For the first time in 18K white gold, the uncluttered and elegant case is adorned with a traditional jewellery work gathering almost 900 brilliant-cut diamonds of various diameters, exceeding 4 carats. Under its fully-paved appearance, this precious timepiece beats at the rhythm of a Swiss mechanical self-winding movement, revealed through a skeleton sapphire case-back, reminiscent of Chaumet\u2019s bicentennial expertise in drawing upon the arts of jewellery and watch-making. Proposed on a black brushed satin strap ended with a dedicated pin buckle, the Liens watch displays elegantly the time on a sparkling paved white gold dial which was designed as a tribute to Place Vend\xf4me, presenting a perfect perspective with the numerals and indexes. The crown is adorned with a rose-cut diamond to best underline the continuous waltz of curves.
