Description
REXHEP REXHEPI
FOR ME, A WATCH IS A PERFORMANCE.
I created this watch with that same conviction.
Since the AK-01 in 2012, my quality standards have only grown sharper, shaped over time. This flyback chronograph is the result of a relentless pursuit of every detail: harmonious proportions, an aesthetic both balanced and bold, with generous hand-decorations.
Today, everything is born at the heart of our workshops. From the cases to the grand feu enamel dials, from the movement to the hand-stitched straps, every step passes through our hands. It is this freedom that gives the timepiece its character. This craftsmanship is refined every day; it evolves and is passed down through the generations.
DESCRIPTION
The RRCHF is the first Flyback Chronograph by REXHEP REXHEPI. It is powered by an entirely new movement, designed to combine technical innovation with aesthetic balance.
From the outset, the pursuit of slimness guided the entire project. Achieving such proportions required a complete rethinking of the movement’s architecture, making an integrated chronograph the only viable solution. The same level of care was devoted to every detail, from the movement’s construction and the case design to the precise height and curvature of the hands, as well as the dial’s aesthetics.
The grand feu enamel dial draws inspiration from vintage pocket-watch chronographs, while the hands feature downward-stepped tips, a detail that is aesthetical but also functional: it improves readability while allowing to fit the glass lower.
The case features a double-stepped bezel along with finely angled lugs and pushers. The screw-down caseback is indexed so that it is visually aligned vertically with the case.
TECHNICAL ASPECTS
DISPLAY
Manual winding movement | Hours, minutes, seconds | Central flyback chronograph seconds hand and instantaneous minute counter
MOVEMENT
The RRCHF is equipped with a hand-wound calibre featuring a flyback chronograph and a jumping-minute counter. The movement is built around asymmetrical architecture, where each component is shaped not only for efficiency but also for visual harmony. Governed by a column wheel and lateral clutch, the chronograph adopts an unconventional layout. Through the caseback, only the chronograph elements are revealed, animating the mechanism and emphasizing its function.
Finishing : All components, visible and non-visible, are entirely hand-finished to the highest standards of quality and Genevan watchmaking tradition. Finishing techniques such as anglage (bevelling), black polishing, perlage, Côtes de Genève (Geneva stripes) and hand engraving are applied throughout. Wheels are hand-bevelled. The mainplate and bridges are made of German silver (maillechort) to enhance the quality of the watch finishing.
