Description
ID Genève presents the Circular C collection, the first watch with a healable material. The dial, side decorations, and bezel are made from 100% recycled carbon fibres from wind turbine manufacturing waste. This carbon composite returns to its original condition after being heated for one minute. Months of research went into addressing the capacity to regenerate scratches and other damage that can occur while wearing a watch.
Design-wise, the irregular arrangement of recycled fibers in the mold gives a granular appearance. The design breaks away from the linear mode of carbon consumption to date. About the dial: the aim was to express the hours and minutes in an organic way, in reference to molecules in motion, to a complex structure of the infinitely small. To echo the upcycled materials that are brought back to life after use.
