The DeWitt Manufacture, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, once again expresses its perception of quiet strength with its new FURTIVE collection, the brand\s first line in steel. This latest creation is an alternative to DeWitt\u2019s powerful mechanical watches, and displays a relaxed allure.\tAvailable in automatic and chronograph versions, the FURTIVE watch draws its inspiration from the world of sports and is essentially targeted at a young, dynamic and sporty-chic clientele. The subtle combination of steel and black PVD on a robust 46 mm case reinforces the contemporary spirit of the watch. The famous imperial column motif, a tribute to the historical legacy of the DeWitt family, is still present, but in a more understated way. The curved case is fitted on a metal or rubber strap that fits the wrist perfectly for optimal comfort.\tThe FURTIVE Chronograph is equipped with a function displaying the hours, minutes, seconds and chronograph. Pushing back technical and aesthetic limits yet further, the chronograph minute counter in the centre of the dial takes form of a turning disc with an open aperture that reveals the countdown of the minutes as it turns.\tThe hour and minute hands in 18-carat white gold are openwork and sword-shaped. Those on the counters are subtly illuminated by a golden hue at their tip. The power reserve is approximately 42 hours.\tEquipped with a patented and totally avant-garde system, the crown, engraved with the W logo, is inverted. Reinforcing the strong and masculine character of the model, it tilts back to its normal position for setting the watch. The dials on the FURTIVE Chronograph, crafted in their entirety at the Manufacture, demonstrate the creative force of the brand. Completely captivating, they evoke the dashboard of a sports car with two dials at 3 and 9 o\clock connected by an elegant grille balancing the ensemble.\tThe Furtive Chronograph comes in a choice of three colours, including midnight blue, white or black.\tFinally, the new FURTIVE line meets the high standards of finish adopted by the DeWitt Manufacture since its creation: satin-finished, polished and chamfered surfaces. The high quality of finishing work also applies to the oscillating weight with personalised C\xf4tes de Genve, and to the case back stamped with Clous de Paris, featuring a medallion carrying the brand logo.\tWith its new steel FURTIVE collection, the DeWitt brand is beginning a new chapter in its history.
