A quarter of a century after its premiere, the revolutionary VOGARD world time mechanism experiences a spectacular addition: The new ENCORE collection combines the original DNA with bold materials, fresh colors and unfulfilled visions of its creator Mike Vogt – the last opportunity for watch collectors to acquire an original.
VOGARD represents three world firsts in the history of Swiss watchmaking: the first mechanical watch that allows time zone adjustment via the rotating bezel; the first watch with a daylight saving time indicator; and the first watch to offer personalized city bezels.
To celebrate its 25th anniversary, VOGARD has submitted this ENCORE model for the GPHG Petite-Aiguille Award. The case is coated with a hard layer of silicon titanium nitride (SiTiN). The result is an elegant bronze-colored look that is resistant to oxidation and UV radiation and celebrates VOGARD's corporate colors. The SiTiN coating is many times more scratch-resistant than conventional steel.
