The Idea
In our fast, hectic world, a single-disc timepiece symbolizes the lifestyle of someone who knows how to manage their own time. Someone who is never in a rush, relies on themselves and their own priorities, plans their day on their own terms, and has no need to constantly check the time down to the exact minute. The single-disc watch embodies the idea of slow life — a life in which one treats time with respect, celebrate every moment, and is free from the daily race of the modern world.
The design of the GML1 is inspired by the slow life philosophy, the elegant minimalism and refined details of Art Deco guichet aesthetics, with its digital disc displays of the early 1930s. We have brought together tradition and contemporary ideas to create a watch for those who know how to enjoy life without hurry, because true comfort and quality of life begin with respect for oneself and one's time.
The Craft
The manufacture caliber LUCH 1801.1H developed and produced entirely at the historic Minsk Watch Factory Luch, founded in 1953, has been modified and fitted with a sliding disc module engineered in-house by GENESIS MACHINE Watch Atelier. The disc does not jump. It slides smoothly and continuously, like time itself.
The 37.6 mm case in 316L stainless steel wears with quiet confidence. Its vertically brushed front surface catches light with disciplined restraint, a nod to the machined aesthetics of Bauhaus and early Art Deco instrument design. The watch ships with both a quick-release leather strap and a mesh bracelet: two temperaments, one timepiece.
The Story
The GML1 is a collaboration between two cities and two traditions: GENESIS MACHINE Watch Atelier, one of Russia's leading independent watch ateliers, in Moscow, and the manufacturing expertise of Minsk Watch Factory Luch in Belarus, one of the last surviving Soviet-era manufacture facilities, now thriving within a global group. Two cultures, one shared conviction: that a watch can carry a philosophy as naturally as it carries the time.
