Description

The Grandeur Janus introduces a highly technical, reversible dual-faced complication. The timepiece houses two entirely separate dials driven by a single mechanical movement, crown, and mainspring, allowing the wearer to track two independent time zones simultaneously by simply reversing the case, which hinges at its lugs. Strikingly, despite the complex dual-gear trains required to drive central hands on opposite sides of the mainplate, the structural architecture achieves an ultrathin profile of just 9 millimeters, ensuring exceptional ergonomic wearability.

A single, multi-position crown operates the entire watch, allowing the wearer to wind the mainspring and set the time for both faces completely independently. To provide true utility for global travelers, the secondary gear train allows the watch to seamlessly accommodate 1/2-hour time zones (common within India) that traditional GMT movements cannot. The primary face displays the hours, minutes, and a running small seconds indicator, while the reverse face displays hours and minutes only.

The case features continuous curves along its edges, which soften the look for a modern aesthetic. This sweeping ergonomics is highlighted by a custom sapphire crystal that is dynamically curved on the sides, wrapping over the lateral edges of the watch to create an expansive, borderless viewing angle. This structural glass execution maximizes light penetration into the dual displays while highlighting the ultra-low side profile.

The Janus serves as an extensive personalization canvas through the Grandeur web configurator. The core architecture is built around four lightweight Grade 5 titanium case options: silver, as well as black, yellow gold, and rose gold PVD. Beyond the case, the watch offers unprecedented visual versatility with over 20 dial options—ranging from natural stone to guilloché—complemented by a vast selection of indices where you can specify distinct numerical languages, typography font styles, a sterile face, or many different geometric indices. There are over 80 different strap and bracelet options, including exotic leathers, rubber, cloth, and metal bracelets. It offers virtually unlimited combinations for each buyer to express their own personal aesthetic.
