Moving beyond existing achievementsThe watchmaker-inventors Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey always wished to surpass the accomplishments of existing movements by plunging deeper into the subject and inventing a Tourbillon which significantly improves the functioning of a wristwatch.They created a tourbillon within a second one, in such a way that this new complication permanently compensates the gravity-related errors of rate in all wristwatch positions. Named the Double Tourbillon 30\xb0, due to the angle that links the two mobile cages, the patented double Tourbillon system is a decisive technical advance and a milestone in watchmaking history.The complexity of this timepiece is not limited to the tourbillons, but to the other aspects including a new kind of dial. This exclusive gold dial comprises of three sapphire-crystal plates. These complex insertions are engraved and raised by a galvanic growth.Like the other Greubel Forsey watches, the Double Tourbillon 30\xb0 expresses the thinking of its creators. Visually, you will also discover a series of engraved and handdecorated text on the dial and curved plates affixed to the sides of the case extolling the values and skill of the company's watchmakers.A bezel with a beveled relief gives a new look to this final edition, which refreshes the style of the earlier models while retaining the typical design features of a Greubel Forsey watch.
