Description
The Inspiration One is the timepiece that inaugurates the CLEGUER brand. Its apparent simplicity belies a high degree of technical complexity in the service of chronometry. Created by Mathieu CLEGUER in collaboration with designer Lee Yuen-Rapati.
Housed in a 38.5 mm white gold case, the Inspiration One features a multidimensional dial where the movement itself becomes a visual landscape. Key elements include: a grand feu champlevé enamel dial set off-center at 2 o'clock, a snailed barrel highlighted by a 36-hour power reserve indicator, and an oversized balance wheel measuring 12.9 mm and beating at 18,000 vibrations per hour.
On the reverse side, the gear train and ratchet topped with a Maltese cross stop work are revealed, the latter limits power reserve but ensures consistent chronometric performance from first to last second.
The centerpiece is the Innate escapement, a modern reinterpretation of the natural escapement. After five years of research and development, a solution was found to make this 200-year-old concept self-starting by replacing direct impulse transmission with an indirect, tangential system. Locking and impulse for both wheels are now performed on a central lever, enhancing efficiency and perfecting the experience with the addition of a hacking second.
