Description

"Derrick" Tourbillon by Louis Moinet\tLouis Moinet’s Derrick is a world first, combining a tourbillon with a working oil derrick. This unique device, visible over a large part of the petroleum blue dial, is in constant motion, completing its cycle every 15 seconds. Its rocking lever is made entirely of brushed aluminium.\tCrafted in a limited edition of 12, the exclusive DERRICK tourbillon movement is hand-wound and beats at a cadence of 21,600 vibrations per hour. One particularly striking technical characteristic is the spectacular visibility of the winding mechanism through the case-back. The "octopus" spring plays three roles by acting as pull-out piece spring, lever spring and click spring.\tDERRICK Tourbillon is presented in an exceptional 18K white gold case. Composed of 59 different parts, it is equipped with the Louis Moinet crown guard, incorporating the stem in such a way as to enable easy replacement if required (patent pending).\t
