The Louis Vuitton Monterey, a limited edition of 188 pieces, reinterprets an iconic design that is both refined and singular, celebrating the House’s origins and its audacious watchmaking vision. It pays tribute to Louis Vuitton’s first wristwatches, the LV I and LV II, launched in 1988 and designed by Italian architect Gae Aulenti.

The hand-polished 39 mm yellow gold case faithfully revives the watch’s iconic pebble silhouette. At 12 o’clock, a finely knurled crown with a Clous de Paris motif, an echo of historical pocket watches.

The Grand Feu enamel dial in radiant white, achieved after nearly 20 hours of painstaking work, honors the original graphic language: red and blue railway-track markings, and the slender syringe hands that have become a signature of the collection.

At the heart of the Louis Vuitton Monterey beats the automatic mechanical LFT MA01.02 movement. Replacing the original quartz caliber, it offers a 45-hour power reserve at 28,000 vibrations per hour. Designed to fit the case with precision, it is finished with exceptional care : circular-grained mainplate, sandblasted bridges, micro-blasted edges. The openworked 750/1000 pink gold rotor, pierced with V-shaped motifs that echo the Monogram, elegantly completes the movement.

The solid caseblack is individually engraved “1 of 188”, while the watch itself is water-resistant to 50 meters. The black calfskin strap, secured by a yellow gold pin buckle, features an ingenious quick-change system for effortless versatility.
