An exceptional masterpieceWith its new TOURBILLON piece, limited only to 28 watches, MICHEL JORDI draws his inspiration from the Greek mythology. In ancient times, a labyrinth sheltered the Minotaur, a part-man part-bull creature, which Theseus managed to kill. To find the way out, the latter followed the thread, which Ariadne had given to him and which he placed at the entrance of the maze to unwind it up to the Minotaur's location. MICHEL JORDI's LABYRINTH TOURBILLON also uses this principle. On the upper case,\xa0 numbers are the corridors of the maze enabling to access to the \xa0Minotaur\xa0, embodied, this time, by a magnifying glass (x 2.5) unveiling the TOURBILLON located on the lower case.\xa0 In order to prevent you from losing yourself, Ariadne exchanged her ball of thread with a more modern hinge.In pressing on the hinge, whilst making the upper case slide, we \xa0exit\xa0 the labyrinth and discover the lower case indicating hours, minutes, GMT, power reserve (5 days) and of course, the FLYING TOURBILLON. A long time has elapsed since the invention of the first tourbillon in 1801. Initially used for pocket watches, the tourbillon only started to gain momentum in bracelet watches in 1987 \u2026Many watchmaking houses seek to stand out by using this old complication in their timepieces. This is all very well but the tourbillon concept often hides different realities.True to his spirit, Michel Jordi has sent down a spinner in creating a different tourbillon to the ones hitherto available on the market Its name? The LABYRINTH TOURBILLONIt is in fact a flying tourbillon.It first creates a stir due to its size with a 13 mm diameter tourbillon case. We can also see that tourbillon lugs (more commonly called "bars") are inexistant. The rotation axis is indeed held by 2 ruby bearings located in the case (at 5 o'clock), enabling the flying Tourbillon to be admired undisturbed. This difference, enhanced by the fact that the assortment is entirely built in house (except for the hair spring), brings to the flying tourbillon both aesthetic beauty and quality. With a movement endowed with a 5 days power reserve autonomy, with a weights balance (in gold) enabling to set the balance rotational inertia, this 13'' tourbillon has an escapement wheel and a straight-line lever in polished hardened steel. . The crown presents 3 positions. Sur la montre suprieure, les chiffres sont des couloirs de labyrinthe permettant d'accder au \xa0minotaure\xa0, reprsent, cette fois-ci, par une loupe (x 2.5) permettant une vue du TOURBILLON situ sur la montre infrieure.Afin de ne pas vous garer, Ariane a chang son fil contre une charnire.En appuyant sur la charnire, tout en ouvrant la montre suprieure en ventail, nous \xa0sortons\xa0 du labyrinthe et dcouvrons la montre infrieure offrant les indications Heures Minutes, Secondes, GMT, rserve de marche (5 jours) et bien s\xfbr, le TOURBILLON VOLANT. Revenons prsent notre poque et tudions de plus prs ce chef d'\u0153uvre horloger.Un long chemin a t parcouru depuis l'invention du premier tourbillon en 1801 jusqu' nos jours. D'abord utilis pour les montres de poche, le tourbillon a commenc prendre sa place dans les montres bracelet seulement partir de 1987\u2026Nombreuses sont les grandes maisons horlogres qui cherchent se profiler avec cette ancienne complication. Oui mais voil, derrire le terme tourbillon se cachent des ralits parfois radicalement diffrentes.Michel Jordi, fidle son image d'emp\xeacheur de tourner en rond, a voulu crer un tourbillon diffrent de ceux que l'on trouve sur le march.Son nom\xa0? Le TOURBILLON LABYRINTHE.Il s'agit en fait d'un tourbillon volant que tout oppose au tourbillon traditionnel.Il surprend tout d'abord par sa grandeur avec une cage de tourbillon de 13mm de diamtre.On constate galement que les barrettes de tourbillon (appeles plus communment \xa0ponts\xa0) sont inexistantes. L'axe de rotation est en effet tenu par 2 paliers rubis situs sous la cage (dispose 5 heures), permettant d'admirer en toute quitude le fonctionnement du tourbillon volant. Les assortiments sont entirement fabriqus l'interne ( l'exception du spiral).Avec un mouvement dot d'un moteur d'une autonomie de 5 jours de rserve de marche, d'un balancier masselottes (en or) permettant de rgler le moment d'inertie du balancier, ce tourbillon 13'' possde une roue d'chappement et une ancre droite en acier tremp poli. La couronne prsente quant elle 3 positions.
