Description
The Myth Made Metal
The Mohareb translates the archetype of the warrior into a contemporary horological form. Named after the Arabic word for “warrior,” the watch explores the balance between strength and refinement, combining sculptural forms with a highly wearable profile. Its helmet-inspired architecture, battle-scar-like engraved surfaces, and layered construction create a distinctive identity that stands apart from conventional dress watches while maintaining a sense of elegance and restraint.
At the heart of the project is an innovative modular case system. Constructed in 904L stainless steel, the case consists of a central body flanked by interchangeable external modules that fundamentally alter the watch’s silhouette. Owners can transform the watch between three distinct configurations -Blades, Halo, and Wings- without changing the core architecture. This approach challenges the traditional notion of a fixed watch design, allowing a single timepiece to adopt multiple identities while preserving its technical and aesthetic coherence.
Movement
The Mohareb also introduces the in-house Calibre MCR01-B, a manually wound movement featuring a proprietary ultra-thin retrograde module. The movement combines a retrograde hour display with a central linear minute display, creating an unconventional yet intuitive way of reading time. Rather than serving as a hidden technical component, the movement architecture becomes a defining element of the watch’s visual language, where the domed case follows exactly the layered movement inside, reinforcing the connection between mechanics and design.
Dimensions
Despite its architectural complexity, the Mohareb achieves a remarkebly slender and lightweight construction. The 904L steel case measures just 8.6 mm at its highest point and tapers dramatically toward the edges, creating a profile that feels both dynamic and comfortable on the wrist. Achieving these proportions required extensive engineering, with some structural components machined to a thickness of only 0.28 mm. Weighing only 43.5 grams, the Mohareb demonstrates how advanced manufacturing can reconcile sculptural design, mechanical sophistication, and everyday wearability.
