Description
The Moonphase II is the first creation of the Universum Series, a collection inspired by humanity’s enduring fascination with the night sky and our desire to understand the universe beyond our world.
Rather than treating the moonphase as a secondary indication, Felipe Pikullik placed it at the very heart of the watch. The entire movement is constructed around this display, allowing the moon to appear suspended above a deep blue aventurine sky while the mechanics unfold openly beneath it.
Developed and manufactured almost entirely in our Berlin atelier, the proprietary FPMP2 calibre transforms the traditional dial into a three dimensional landscape. Bridges, wheels and levers are revealed from the front, creating an architectural composition that changes with every angle of light and invites the wearer to explore the movement as a living mechanism.
At the center of the display sits a moon crafted from genuine lunar meteorite. Every crater and surface structure remains visible, preserving the material’s celestial origin and creating a direct connection between the watch and the object it represents.
Traditional hand finishing techniques such as hand polished bevels, interior angles, frosted surfaces and hand engraving are combined with a contemporary movement architecture. The result is a timepiece that unites astronomical inspiration, mechanical artistry and independent watchmaking in a single expression.
The stainless steel edition is limited to 20 pieces and represents the beginning of a new chapter for Felipe Pikullik, where technical independence and artistic storytelling come together in pursuit of a deeper connection between time, craftsmanship and the universe.
Supplied by the brand to the GPHG for its entry.
