Description

I began my watchmaking project in 2012. At that time, a vivid memory resurfaced—an antique pocket watch I had once seen, its dial adorned with numerals hand‑engraved by a master craftsman. I wondered whether, by combining modern technology with traditional artisanal skill, it might be possible to create numerals that were even more sculptural and beautiful. That idea ignited something within me. A precisely finished dial, crafted with the latest machining technology, becomes a canvas onto which an engraver carves deeply by hand. Through this fusion, I was able to bring my long‑held vision to life.

In 2018, I founded the company, and in 2019 we began manufacturing and selling our watches. Since then, we have continued to accumulate experience in both production and sales. And gradually, a desire I had kept quietly within me began to burn again.

When I first entered the watch industry in 1990, I was deeply drawn to smaller‑sized watches. I remember clearly how captivated I was by the Patek Philippe Ref.96 and the Breguet Ref.3210—both compact, elegant masterpieces. Although the industry later shifted toward large and thick cases, my dream of creating a watch with a modestly sized case never left me.

The development of our Cal.2524SS movement, introduced in the NH TYPE5 series in 2024, gave me confidence that we could design a small movement capable of placing the small seconds far enough from the center of the dial. With that conviction, I resolved to create a dress watch with a 31 mm screw‑down case.

And now, at last, we have completed the NH TYPE8A. It features our newly developed round hand‑wound movement, Cal.2326SS, housed within a complex three‑piece case equipped with a sapphire exhibition back and a domed sapphire crystal. Naturally, the numerals on the dial—one of the defining characteristics of our watches—are all hand‑engraved by a master engraver.
