Description
Noctograph by Massena LAB and Raúl Pagès is a limited-edition wristwatch with a serene dial, elegant stainless steel case, and a proprietary movement designed by Massena LAB in collaboration with Raúl Pagès.
The Noctograph melds minimalism with the classical and historical influences referenced by Massena LAB. The dial is a dark and intriguing shade of blue, vertically brushed, shifting in the light from slate to petrol to deep midnight. The subtle "Massena" signature sits carefully placed at 4 o'clock.
Surrounding the dial is a bright rhodium-plated chapter ring, radially brushed and marked with a fine railroad track. At six o'clock, a second scale frames the small seconds counter, subtly sunken below the main dial. Floating above are a pair of feuille hands in stainless steel, drawn from the dress watches of the 1930s and 1950s, in quiet contrast with the dial's modernist character.
Noctograph by Massena LAB and Raúl Pagès is powered by the caliber M660, a movement designed by Raúl Pagès in collaboration with Massena LAB, manually wound and Swiss-made with a power reserve of 60 hours. Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, it features a broad plate with Côtes de Genève finishing and hand-chamfered plates and bridges. Raúl Pagès' signature mark, taking the form of a tortoise in reference to his celebrated automaton, is tucked beneath the balance wheel, carefully framed by overlapping circles of perlage.
This level of finishing demands an elevated blend of artistry and skill, typically reserved for timepieces commanding three times the price. Pagès personally oversees and directs production of the M660, though he does not engage directly in the production or decoration of the movement. Execution is entrusted to a select group of Swiss watchmakers working to his vision.
The Noctograph is housed in a 38.5mm stainless steel case with architecture inspired by dress watches from the 1940s and 50s, brushed on its sides with polished lugs and bezel. The watch is fitted with a handmade dove grey leather strap with a stainless steel pin buckle.
