Description
Made of titanium, a first for the brand, the Piaget Polo FortyFive model reinterprets the original aesthetic of Piaget Polo models.Expanded to a diameter of 45 mm, the case material, grade 5 titanium, is decorated with steel gadroons placed at regular intervals along the bezel. These elements continue along the black injection moulded rubber strap, visually accentuating the straps integration with the case. In addition to its chronograph and flyback functions, the 880P calibre displays the hour and minutes functions, along with small seconds at 6 oclock, the date at 12 oclock and a second 24 hour time zone at 9 oclock. This 5.6 mm thick self-winding mechanical movement has two barrels and a large screw balance, and offers a 50 hour power reserve when the chronograph mode is engaged. With its column wheel and vertical coupling-clutch, it has all the qualities of a fine chronograph movement.The sapphire case-back shows off the decoration on the movements, designed and developed entirely in-house: the plate is circular-grained, bridges are bevelled; the circular Côtes de Genve pattern and blued screws are the brands signature aesthetic; the PVD-treated dark-grey winding rotor is engraved with the Piaget emblem.
