A true gem, PRIMA DONNA reveals a CENTURY sapphire watch case, composed of 52 facets, all cut and polished by hand, in a spindle shape known as the marquise cut. As graceful as it is slender, this silhouette is inspired by a legend born in Versailles. Louis XV is said to have had a precious stone cut in the image of the lips of his favorite, the Marquise de Pompadour. Today, this noble curve is reborn in a case of 18 ct. white gold, illuminated by a rainbow of precious stones, reflecting her flamboyant, free spirit. The tiara-shaped attachments and mother-of-pearl dial, adorned with a delicate inner border, are set with 82 colored stones, evoking a sunset over an enchanted kingdom. Its 18 ct. white gold Milanese mesh bracelet pays homage to the refined heritage of Italian Renaissance silversmiths, evoking the sumptuous drape of a haute couture gown.
