Description
Redentore Arlecchino celebrates the theatrical soul of the Venetian Carnival through a vibrant interplay of geometry, color and artisanal craftsmanship, transforming one of Venice’s most iconic cultural symbols into a contemporary horological expression.
Inspired by the historic figure of Arlecchino, symbol of movement, energy and creative freedom, the watch reinterprets the traditional carnival costume through a structured composition of geometric forms, where every colored segment contributes to a dynamic and harmonious visual rhythm.
The dial originates from early design sketches inspired by the classic diamond-patterned attire, evolving into a sculpted architectural surface composed of multiple recessed sectors individually filled with hand-applied cold enamel. Each chromatic cell is framed by polished silver-tone profiles that create a tridimensional mosaic effect, generating continuous variations of light, contrast and depth across the surface of the dial.
Enhancing this composition are the newly developed Alpha hands, distinguished by alternating sandblasted and polished finishes. Their faceted construction allows light to interact differently from every angle, ensuring optimal legibility while reinforcing the constantly shifting visual character of the watch.
The 38 mm stainless steel case balances classical proportions with contemporary detailing. Satin-brushed surfaces contrast with polished bevels that subtly capture reflections, while the slim 9.4 mm profile, enabled by the Miyota 9039 automatic calibre, gives the watch an elegant and refined presence on the wrist. Combined with a compact 44.2 mm lug-to-lug measurement, the overall ergonomics ensure exceptional comfort and versatility.
On the reverse side, the artistic narrative continues through an engraved depiction of Arlecchino, hand-finished with cold enamel following the same geometric chromatic language of the dial. Surrounding the central illustration, an engraved phrase pays tribute to the poetic and theatrical atmosphere of the Venetian Carnival, transforming the caseback into an extension of the watch’s storytelling.
Completing the experience is a dedicated illustrated presentation box depicting scenes of Venetian Carnival among gondolas, historic Venetian architecture and moments of celebration, extending the narrative dimension of Redentore Arlecchino beyond the object itself.
Through its fusion of decorative artistry, architectural geometry and contemporary watchmaking design, Redentore Arlecchino becomes both a timepiece and a wearable interpretation of Venice’s most expressive tradition.
