Description

Redentore Utopia II Beta expresses a darker and more architectural interpretation of the collection, combining contemporary Italian watchmaking with traditional hand-guilloché craftsmanship.

Created as part of a limited edition series, the Beta version is distinguished by its deep graphite-toned dial, a monochromatic composition inspired by the forged metals and shadowed reflections of the Venetian lagoon. Its visual identity is built around Marea, a bespoke hand-guilloché motif developed exclusively for Utopia II, translating the perpetual movement of Venetian tides into a structured surface of layered waves and evolving reflections.

The dial is produced entirely by hand at Atelier Renzetti, among the very few remaining workshops worldwide dedicated to traditional guilloché engraving. Under the direction of Linda Renzetti, fourth generation of her family, each dial is engraved individually on antique rose-engines using controlled pressure, rhythm and manual precision. The resulting pattern generates continuously changing interactions between light and texture, giving the graphite surface a remarkable sense of depth and fluidity.

The restrained monochromatic palette of the Beta version enhances the architectural qualities of the guilloché, allowing shadows and reflections to become part of the visual composition itself. Depending on the angle of light, the dial alternates between metallic charcoal tones and softer anthracite reflections, reinforcing the dynamic nature of the Marea pattern.

Powering the watch is the proprietary Venezianico V5001 manual-winding calibre, entirely designed and manufactured in Italy. While preserving the technical architecture of the V5000 platform, the movement introduces a significantly elevated level of finishing, including 24k gold galvanic treatment on the plate and bridges, double-snailing wheels, radial Côtes de Genève and fine perlage decoration.

Despite a thickness of only 3.5 mm, the calibre delivers a 60-hour power reserve and is regulated to an accuracy of ±3 seconds per day. To ensure long-term chronometric stability, it incorporates a variable-inertia copper-beryllium balance produced by Atokalpa, equipped with four masselottes, a double-anchored balance bridge and KIF Elastor shock protection, all visible through the sapphire caseback.

The stainless steel case preserves the refined proportions of the Redentore collection while emphasizing the purity of the dial architecture and the visual sophistication of the movement.

Through the fusion of traditional guilloché engraving, contemporary monochromatic aesthetics and independent Italian mechanical development, Redentore Utopia II Beta represents a modern interpretation of haute horlogerie rooted in Venetian identity and artisanal precision.
