Description
The Resilience Gold timepiece embodies Speake Marin’s most classic and timeless vision of watchmaking. Inspired by British elegance and driven by the excellence of Swiss horological craftsmanship, it brings together a Grand Feu enamel dial, an in-house integrated micro-rotor movement and the Maison’s iconic Piccadilly case.
Housed within a 42 mm 18K 5N red gold Piccadilly case, subtly redesigned by Eric Giroud in 2017, the Resilience Gold showcases a white Grand Feu enamel dial crafted using a demanding traditional technique. Composed of five successive layers of enamel, fired at temperatures approaching 800°C and then meticulously hand-polished, the dial is distinguished by its remarkable depth, purity and enduring luminosity. Oversized Roman numerals, blued hands and the signature small seconds display positioned at 1:30 further enhance its refined and instantly recognisable character.
At the heart of this timepiece beats the in-house SMA03 self-winding calibre with integrated micro-rotor, developed and assembled by Le Cercle des Horlogers. Comprising 147 components, the movement delivers a 52-hour power reserve and operates at a frequency of 4 Hz. Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, it reveals finely executed haute horlogerie finishes, including Geneva stripes, hand-polished anglage, gold-filled engravings and a tungsten micro-rotor adorned with the Maison’s signature topping tool motif.
The dial is animated by elegant heart-shaped blued steel hands, whose distinctive silhouette subtly evokes the aesthetic of the historic clock hands of London’s Elizabeth Tower, a discreet nod to the Maison’s British roots. Blue accents are echoed throughout the dial markings, creating a refined contrast against the immaculate whiteness of the enamel.
Fitted with a midnight-blue ostrich leather strap secured by an 18K 5N red gold pin buckle, the Resilience Gold is a timepiece designed to endure across generations. A collector’s piece where the timeless beauty of Grand Feu enamel meets the sophistication of a contemporary manufacture movement.
