The Speake Marin Ripples Kármán Line draws its inspiration from the Kármán Line, the invisible boundary located 100 kilometres above sea level that marks the transition between the Earth’s atmosphere and outer space. This captivating horizon, where shades of blue gradually dissolve into ever more subtle light, serves as the creative foundation for the entire timepiece. The Ripples Kármán Line stands out through its refined and lightweight aesthetic, elegantly translating the notions of transition and balance into a distinctly contemporary expression of watchmaking.

Crafted in 904L stainless steel, its signature “La City” case measures 40.30 mm in diameter and just 6.30 mm in thickness, making it one of the slimmest interpretations within the Ripples collection. This remarkable profile is made possible by the new in-house SMA06 calibre, an ultra-thin automatic movement measuring only 2.5 mm thick and featuring a fully integrated micro-rotor.

At the heart of this ultra sport-chic timepiece beats the latest in-house SMA06 calibre, entirely developed and manufactured by Le Cercle des Horlogers. Measuring only 2.5 mm in thickness, this integrated micro-rotor movement operates at a high frequency of 5 Hz (36,000 vibrations per hour), ensuring enhanced chronometric precision and stability. Visible through the sapphire caseback, the movement reveals traditional haute horlogerie finishing, including Geneva stripes, hand-polished anglage and a finely decorated tungsten micro-rotor.

For the first time within the Ripples collection, this timepiece features a sapphire crystal dial. Enhanced by blue metallisation, Geneva stripes engraved directly into the sapphire, and a sunray-finished small seconds counter positioned at 1:30, the dial creates a fascinating interplay of depth, transparency and light, further reinforcing the sense of lightness that defines the Ripples Kármán Line.

Available on either a stainless steel bracelet or an exclusive blue-to-white gradient leather strap, the Ripples Kármán Line extends its inspiration down to the finest detail. This subtle colour transition evokes the delicate horizon observed at the edge of the atmosphere, where sky and light merge into a captivating panorama.
