Description
RO-NI Superleggero Modificato, developed on the basis of the previous RO-NI Superleggero, it was designed for maximum performance.
The materials and shapes are designed to offer maximum performance and not the perfection of classic design or finishes: the goal was to create an extreme flying tourbillon.
The goal was to build a watch entirely made of carbon fiber: lightweight, stable, durable, anticorrosion and aerodynamic. We created a world-first, entirely carbon fiber caliber that is temperature-insensitive and therefore maintains perfect, unchanging positions. The watch features 7 different carbon fibers all made in house. We used our own, highest-quality, extremely durable pure carbon fiber. The watch with the elastic strap weight 20 grams.
It features 4D suspension on multiple axes, as detailed below. We created a wind tunnel and designed a downforce case: regardless of the air pressure, the case pushes against the wrist.
All RO-NI timepieces are equipped with a handling system whose function is the dissipation and absorption of vibrations from external stresses. The RSR+ handling system for the SUPERLEGGERO MODIFICATO evolved into a complete design integration between suspensions, materials and shapes all integrated.
There are:
-2d radial suspension in the external case
-Aerodynamic carbon fiber case with radial anti-vibration system and internal case traction system
-n.4 internal suspension - cg-30-sv - sintered carbo garphene of exclusive ro-ni production - 20% increased sensitivity
-Dissipative traction system - traction plus - carbon fiber+rubber
-Traction system in carbo in fiber with rubber base. Like the F1 shells, the fiber is interspaced with special elastic modules to absorb vibrations between the two cases - exclusive ro-ni production
RCS -Radial Case Antivibration System at 9h: active vibration absorption system in a wide range of frequencies - oring pressed from screwed carbon plate - ro-ni exclusive project
RING-T Special elastic synthetic ring to make perfect adherence and dampen the vibrations of the structure
Dynamic Elastic Deformation System - DED - The new DED system was developed with the aim of absorbing external stresses. Body and frame allow elastic deformation.
PRECOMPRESSION WATERPROFF SYSTEM - PWS - This elastic coupling allows to pass the waterproofing tests even in the absence of the closing screws. Even in the event of tampering with the closing screws, the system actively guarantees impermeability to the Superleggero. This effect is allowed by the internal carbon graphite case and its elasticity.
For sports use, the material of the back side, of medical origin, is in accordance with UNI ISO standards and does not affect body fluids.
RSM - FIRST AND ONLY CALIBER ENTIRELY MADE OF PURE CARBON FIBER

The lightness of the tourbillon upper bridge and incablock closure unit a the carbon fiber barrel (which allows the spring to slide as if it were self-lubricated) and the hands in carbon fiber (ultre light) have made it possible to have a more constant thrust and go from 70 hours of power reserve to 89 hours.
The materials used ensure this watch is corrosion-resistant, stable over time, and temperature-insensitive, making it perfect for any conditions. The addition of the RSR+ handling system, which dissipates most vibrations, guarantees perfect operation in any condition and over the years.
Ruby stones set in carbon fiber offer superior resistance to violent impacts compared to those set in metal, thanks to the anti-vibration properties of carbon fiber.
For use at high speeds and in conditions exposed to air, such as in convertible racing cars, sports cars, motorcycles, speedboats, skis, and bicycles, where air impacts the watch, we studied aerodynamic flow in a wind tunnel, performed vector analysis, and designed an aerodynamically supported case.
Thanks to these general, technical, conceptual, and material developments, we are confident that the RO-Ni Superleggero Modificato is our current Extreme Flying Tourbillon.
