Description
In 1986, the TAG Heuer Formula 1 was the first ever watch made under the TAG Heuer name. Launched specifically to celebrate the brand's connection to Formula 1®, a sport that truly brought together Heuer and TAG. An entirely new type of watch, the TAG Heuer Formula 1 collection would capitalize on the demand for colorful, fun and affordable timepieces. Truly racing fueled, yet with a strong lifestyle appeal, the TAG Heuer Formula 1 was an authentic depiction of its generation, and loved for it.
In 2026, TAG Heuer proudly unveils a new limited edition, created to mark the final Dutch Grand Prix™, a watch that reconnects the TAG Heuer Formula 1 collection with the very essence of the original from 1986: fun and daring, now brought to the next level of horological standards through ergonomy, reliability and innovation. Limited to 1500 pieces, the new TAG Heuer Formula 1 Solargraph translates the energy of the circuit into a focused design language.
A grey dial sets the foundation, punctuated by orange and red minute-track accents that create immediate contrast and evoke the atmosphere of the Dutch Grand Prix™. The case continues this approach with a sandblasted steel finish that reinforces its character. Its construction draws from the original TAG Heuer Formula 1 case, preserving a recognizable silhouette while refining its proportions for a more compact format. Encircling the dial, the orange bidirectional bezel retains its signature shape, crafted in TH-Polylight. This material offers vibrant, endlessly colorful designs while ensuring both lightness and durability. The bezel frames the watch, its rotation precise and deliberate, reinforcing the connection to time measurement. Applied indexes filled with eggshell Super-LumiNova ensure visibility in changing light conditions, while the signature shields at six, nine and twelve o’clock reinforce the watch’s identity. The signature hour hand further anchors the design within the TAG Heuer Formula 1 lineage.
At the heart of the timepiece, the Solargraph Calibre TH50-00 harnesses the power of light to deliver unmatched autonomy, offering 10 months of runtime on a full charge and a 15-year battery life. A 10-second quick restart ensures you are always ready to go.
The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Solargraph is more than a timepiece; it is a statement. Of boldness. Of innovation. Of a racing legacy that lives on every second.
Supplied by the brand to the GPHG for its entry.
