The TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph embodies the next generation of one of the most iconic watches in contemporary watchmaking. More than fifty years after its creation, the TAG Heuer Monaco reinvents itself while preserving its distinctive identity. This timepiece retains the design codes that made it legendary, with its unique square silhouette, crown positioned on the left, and a DNA deeply linked to motor racing, all while adopting a resolutely modern approach to ergonomics, comfort, and performance. Lighter, more dynamic, and more refined, this new interpretation was designed to offer a superior wearing experience, while preserving the bold character that has always distinguished the TAG Heuer Monaco.
This evolution is primarily reflected in completely redesigned aesthetics. Faithful to the famous reference associated with Steve McQueen, the watch features its signature opaline blue dial, contrasting silver sub-dials, and red accents inspired by the world of motor racing. But behind this iconic livery lies a deeply modernized architecture. Crafted in grade 5 titanium, the 39mm square case gains lightness and comfort, while its new proportions, sharper lines, and sculpted surfaces enhance its presence on the wrist. The sapphire crystal adopts a geometry closer to a perfect square, while the redesigned caseback better follows the curve of the wrist. Every detail is optimized, ensuring the TAG Heuer Monaco is more ergonomic, better balanced, and more pleasant for daily wear.
At the heart of this timepiece beats the Calibre TH20-11, an automatic chronograph movement that marks a significant step in the evolution of the collection. Developed in-house, it reinterprets the legacy of the legendary Calibre 11 while meeting contemporary performance standards. Its bi-compax architecture, combined with the crown positioned on the left and the date at 6 o'clock, ensures clear and perfectly balanced readability. With an 80-hour power reserve and covered by a five-year warranty, the Calibre TH20-11 offers a high level of reliability and precision.
