More than an evolution of the TAG Heuer Monaco, this timepiece embodies the second chapter of TAG Heuer's Avant-Garde Horlogerie and asserts a clear ambition: to reinvent the complication that has defined the Maison's DNA for over 160 years. Unveiled at Watches & Wonders 2026, the TAG Heuer Monaco Evergraph introduces user-centric innovation, designed to bring concrete value to the wearer: greater durability, enhanced reliability, and superior precision. It's not about innovating for the sake of difference, but about transforming the mechanical chronograph experience.
The design of this piece reinterprets the model's historical codes while projecting them into a contemporary version. Its 40mm square case in grade 5 titanium retains the silhouette of the original Heuer Monaco, while the left-sided crown harks back to the Calibre 11 of 1969. The elongated pushers, transparent dial, and suspended counters create an impression of depth and reveal the architecture of the movement. The taut lines, sharp facets, and refined profiles give the watch a presence that is at once technical, ergonomic, and almost architectural.
At the heart of this timepiece beats the Calibre TH80-00, developed around a compliant chronograph mechanism. After five years of research conducted by the TAG Heuer LAB, this system replaces traditional mechanical parts with two flexible bistable components: one dedicated to the start/stop functions, the other to resetting. This architecture reduces friction, improves operational consistency, and ensures a crisp, stable, and durable pusher feel. The Calibre also integrates the TH-Carbonspring oscillator, another TAG Heuer innovation resulting from nine years of R&D: extremely lightweight, shock-resistant, and anti-magnetic, it offers superior chronometric stability and accuracy. With a total of seven patents, an inverted movement construction, a frequency of 5 Hertz, a 70-hour power reserve, and a COSC certification, the Calibre TH80-00 positions the TAG Heuer Monaco Evergraph beyond mere evolution: it's a true revolution in mechanical chronography.
