Description
The Minerva Unveiled Crownless is a watch distinguished by its traditional crownless design, offering remarkable symmetry. Its 41.5 mm vintage-inspired stainless steel case is enhanced by an 18-karat rose gold (Au 750/1000) fluted bezel and features the inscription 'Depuis 1858' on its side.
The major innovation lies in the absence of a crown, with manual winding and time setting managed by the fluted bezel. This mechanism is inspired by a 1927 Minerva pilot's watch with a rotating bezel. A lever, discreetly integrated into the caseback at 3 o'clock, allows switching the bezel's function: pressed in for movement winding, extended for time setting. This discretion preserves the pure balance of the case.
The characteristic gold guilloché dial, displaying only the time, features a small seconds sub-dial at 6 o'clock, visually balancing the vintage Minerva logo and the rose gold-coated Arabic numeral '12'.
This timepiece is powered by the hand-finished, manually wound Manufacture calibre MB 15.08, offering an 80-hour power reserve. It is completed with a dark green alligator strap and a stainless steel triple-folding clasp with a fine adjustment system.
Supplied by the brand to the GPHG for its entry.
