Description
Neither ceramic nor carbon fiber: no mainstream for Parmigiani Fleurier, which chooses a resolutely new and uncompromising path. The Tonda PF Chronograph Sport is crafted this year in Cermet. CER stands for ceramic and MET for metal. The development of the Tonda PF Chronograph Sport fully made from this material is a world first in watchmaking: no brand to date has used Cermet entirely to shape a timepiece - case, fluted bezel, crown and pushers, and bracelet buckle. It is equipped with the PF070 high-frequency movement (36,000 Vph) certified COSC, an automatic chronograph integrated. This composite and absolutely scratch-resistant material combines the properties of a ceramic, such as high-temperature resistance and hardness, with those of a metal, like lightweight. Its exceptional qualities make it an alloy used in aerospace and many advanced technologies.
