Description
The Airain Type 20 70 ANS pays tribute to one of the most iconic military chronographs ever created. Inspired by the original Type 20 supplied to French military aviators in the 1950s, this anniversary edition celebrates seventy years of aviation heritage while remaining faithful to the spirit of its predecessor.
At its heart is the legendary flyback chronograph, developed to allow pilots to instantly reset and restart timing functions during flight. The watch is powered by a Swiss Made column-wheel flyback chronograph movement, visible through a transparent caseback that combines historical authenticity with contemporary watchmaking.
Distinctive features include a Horizon Blue dial, inspired by the iconic blue-grey tones associated with early twentieth-century France and military aviation, as well as a beige suede strap with blue lining. Together, these elements create a refined balance between heritage, craftsmanship, and modern design.
