Description
Vanguard Aero Revolution 3 Skeleton - An Open Architecture for a Three Axis Tourbillon
Created by Franck Muller, the Vanguard Aero Revolution 3 Skeleton embodies the continuity of haute horlogerie complications through its three axis tourbillon. Following the path opened by the manufacture’s double and triple axis creations, this timepiece carries forward a legacy of technical innovation, mechanical mastery and creative audacity.
Its bold new case pushes the traditional codes of watchmaking design and construction. Largely openworked, it acts as a true architectural frame around the movement, allowing the mechanics to be admired from multiple angles. This open construction gives the watch a strong three dimensional presence and places the tourbillon at the centre of the visual experience.
The three axis tourbillon is composed of three concentric cages rotating at different speeds. By multiplying the positions of the regulating organ in space, this exceptional mechanism reduces the effects of gravity in all positions and offers a captivating view of mechanical precision in motion. The watch is powered by two barrels, ensuring a 10 day power reserve while supporting the continuous rotation of the tourbillon.
The open case construction also required the development of a specific crown system, designed to preserve both functionality and visual purity. Every technical choice serves the same purpose, to reveal the mechanics without compromising performance, stability or elegance.
With the Vanguard Aero Revolution 3 Skeleton, Franck Muller presents a timepiece that is both technically complex and immediately understandable. It is a mechanical spectacle, a demonstration of high watchmaking expertise and a bold expression of Franck Muller's vision of contemporary complications.
